Congratulations to Spain for winning the Euros. But the performance of the tournament for me goes to Danemark. Finalist once again and losing only to 12 in the final. What a change these guys have made since 2008. Great coaching (with Pascal Verbregue at the helm), Elite group, Selection process, etc...made them a very successful nation full of Euro honours at all categories. As I remember, the Danes and the French met up recently in Danemark to play several games together - no doubt that this is the type of preparation you need before such games. But so are the Germans with Didier Choupay now on board and semi-finalists of the tournament. Again, the type of experience you need to take the ladies to the top. What about the Dutch..ing to London for our international weekend, then Sevran 2 weeks ago, then to their PUK international event last week resulting in a a very decent 1/4 finals performance. Same for Belgium ladies who I also met last week at the PUK in Holland and now also in the semis. Success like I mentioned doesnt happen overnight but certainly doesnt come without great coaching, preparation and a system driving a performance improvement. We, as England, as miles away from these nations...nothing is changing but no one is concerned. Oh well...we still have the god save the queen I guess. Thats depends if you are a believer anymore.
