Congratulations to current Equestrienne, Jessica Greenman who won fourth place for the 2013 Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Sportsmanship Award. Only 8 riders nationally were chosen! Great job and great job representing Culver! 2013 National Sportsmanship Award Winners The winners for the 2013 National Sportsmanship Award, sponsored by the IHSA, were announced at the 2013 Western National Finals. Congratulations to all who qualified for this award. The IEA is proud to have such an amazing group of riders who have been recognized throughout the regular competition season for their exemplary sportsmanship by their coaches and peers. The IEA is proud to recognize the top eight riders that have been chosen by our judging committee as our National Sportsmanship Winners: 1st: Haley Hogue / Ozark Legends- Zone 7 2nd: Ryan Hauth / MDS @ Woodpecker Farm- Zone 3 3rd: Meredith McDuffie / Foxtail Farm (VA)- Zone 3 4th: Jessica Greenman / Culver Academies- Zone 5 5th: Danielle Cattano / Pickwick-Clay Hill- Zone 3 6th: Jaida Storms / Strides Equestrian Team- Zone 10 7th: Rebecca Marek / Park Place- Zone 5 8th: Sara Garbowski / Creekside Farm- Zone 4 The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA), in conjunction with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), awards a student-rider the National Sportsmanship Award each year. In 2013, the award will be announced and presented at the IEA Western National Finals in June. The national award winner will be selected from the group of riders who earned a Sportsmanship Award at a local, regional or zone IEA show during the school year. These Sportsmanship Award winners will receive an IEA Sportsmanship patch (pictured), and will be invited to submit an application for the National Sportsmanship Award.
