Congratulations to the Auxiliary Volunteers! The net profit for their Pink Turns Gold event was $33,000. The Auxiliary Board met on Thursday, August 8, and following a review of the evening’s proceeds decided to fund the purchase of the surgical equipment that helps locate the sentinel node in a woman’s breast when cancer is suspected, as well as the purchase of a permanent source of oxygen and suction for two emergency department treatment rooms. Tonya Flannery, president of the Auxiliary, stated, “We are thrilled to provide this equipment for the hospital in recognition of our 50th anniversary and we are so grateful to everyone who supported our Pink Turns Gold event and made it a success.”
