Congratulations to the recipients of the 2013 CAHEC Open Doors Homeownership Grant: Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity - Wilmington, North Carolina The Housing Partnership - Charlotte, North Carolina Habitat Goldsboro - Goldsboro, North Carolina Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami - Miami, Florida The Lexington Homeownership Center/ Lexington Housing Community Development - Lexington, North Caolina Self-Help Community Development Corporation - Charlotte, North Carolina CAHEC awarded these nonprofit organizations $50,000 collectively to help supplement the expenses often not listed in a development budget when building housing for sale to low-income households. These expenses include, but are not limited to, training, travel, marketing and consultants.
