Congress gives scamsters Z security, ignores others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since the safety and security of citizens and of important persons is a hot topic right now, it might be timely to review who our Government considers worth protecting with all the might at its disposal. News came in today that Naveen Jindal is getting Z category security. In view of a threat to him from Maoists, a contingent of 25 commandos from Delhi Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will guard him. To jog your memory, Jindal is a Member of Parliament and one of the prime accused in the Coalgate scam. Guess who else is getting Z security! Apart from Naveen Jindal, Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra also get Z level security. Why the Government of India chooses to extend such expensive honour to scam-tainted persons is a mystery. Contrast this with the sorry state of security during BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s Hunkar Rally in Patna on Sunday. Not only did Nitish Kumar’s Government make no arrangements to ensure nothing untoward happened at the mammoth gathering, the Chief Minister of Bihar also said that he had no intelligence inputs about an imminent terrorist attack threat. Who the Government considers worthy of the highest possible protection speaks volumes about what the Government considers to be important. When a scam-accused private citizen like Robert Vadra is given preference over the Prime Ministerial candidate of a major national political party, one is forced to conclude that this Government is not in the service of the people. Instead, it serves those in power and those close to them and safeguards their interests. Link: niticentral/2013/10/30/congress-gives-scamsters-z-security-ignores-others-152551.html
