Congress was originally designed with the idea in mind that the average man would go to Washington, represent his neighbor, and at the end of his term he would return home and resume his life. It was not intended to be a special privilege for the rich, elite, and those who came from families of power, nor was it intended to be a career. Yet today, an average person would have no chance of winning an election to either the House or Senate. Government is dysfunctional. We need to vote out every incumbent regardless of party affiliation. Sadly, it will never happen, and those we do vote out will likely only be replaced with more of the same. Would YOU step up to the plate and serve your country? Would you vote for someone like you or I, or your neighbor or coworker? Think about that!
