Congress workers clash in Azad’s meeting at Kishtwar The Congress workers Friday clashed in full public view during a party meeting at Dak Banglow Kishtwar in presence of former J&K chief minister, senior Congress leader and leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad. As per the details available, Azad after touring Bhaderwah and Bhalessa arrived at Kishtwar where he had to interact with party workers. As soon as the interaction started, local Congress leader Mohinder Singh Parihar launched attack on District President Kishtwar, Pardeep Singh Parihar and held him responsible for mess within the party at Kishtwar. He also dubbed District President Congress Kishtwar as ‘BJP man’ and demanded his immediate sacking. As soon Mohinder Parihar finished his speech, the angry party workers present exchange heated words and which ultimately lead to clashes between them forcing Azad to leave the venue. “The congress workers exchanged blows and physical assaults,” the eyewitnesses said. Before leaving the venue, Azad snubbed both the groups and showed his displeasure over the incident. The situation was handled only after the intervention of police.
