Congressman Jeff Duncan: One of the most prominent promises President Obama made to the American people during the healthcare debate was If you like your health plan, you can keep it. That bold promise was the reason many legislators and Americans ultimately supported ObamaCare. Unfortunately, that promise ended up being empty, as hundreds of thousands of Americans recently found out when they received notices that they would be losing their healthcare plans. In response, Senator Johnson has filed legislation that would amend the healthcare law to force the President to keep his promise to the American people. I look forward to hearing President Obama explain why he would veto legislation that simply upholds the promise he made to the public. Doesnt this legislation seem fair to you?
