Conservationists are hoping to bring a pair of european brown bears, that are currently being kept in what they describe as horrendous conditions in concrete pens in Bulgaria, over to Kent. The animals, originally bred to be shot by trophy hunters, have never been allowed to even walk on grass. The Wildwood Trust wants to set aside a third of an acre of woodland near Canterbury for the bears. You may find some of the pictures in Charlie Roses report distressing.
