Conservatives who call for smaller government, dont want to live in the real world. Where would we be without the FDA, EPA, OSHA, Soc Security and Medicare to name a few. Should we rely on the greedy capitalists of the world to be concerned with our safety over the money they can make ? Conservatives like Stu Varney, who makes my skin crawl, blame the fiscal crisis on the banks not being regulated. Who are we going to rely on for banking regulation if not the government ? Pres Clinton, a democrat by the way, just to prove my objectivity, made the biggest mistake of his political career by repealing Glass Stiegal.
