Consider the issue in the Middle East is not based on any of the conventional reasons people throw around. This one would go along well with the perspective of American philosopher Eric Hoffer. For those who disagree with the hypothesis, here is a thought experiment? If it wasnt Israel that had conquered Palestine but Syria, would Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims view the situation the same way? Pride/humiliation: What else can explain an inability to even say the word Israel publicly in most Arab countries? What else can explain how Arab/Muslim governments can act much worse than Israel yet only receive a tenth of the criticism by Arabs in the West? What else can explain that Arabs have killed more or a similar number of Palestinians (depending on whose statistics you believe) than Israel since 1948 yet no one talks about it? This is not about blame. This is about analysis to know what to do. From: Corey Gil-Shuster
