Consider this observation. People in very difficult sitautions are usually the most creative. Therefore, if one cannot be creative, he may go find a person in a bind and learn from that person or entity. Once when my water bill became unreasonably high, I made changes just in my lawn watering/irrigation timess and duration and I reduced my water bill considerably. I have a lawn sprinker which now automatically turns on at 10 P.M. and 4 A.M. (some disagree with this, as the grass some say will be prone to disease if the water stayed too long on it; I suggest consult your landscaper) I tried the following duration during the summer; 10 min, then 8 min, then 5 min, then 3 min, then 2 min, then 1 min. 3 minutes duration seemed to be optimum. I turn off the lawn sprinklers in the fall as grass naturally goes dormant during the fall/winter months then turn them back on in the spring.
