Consider your ways Read Haggai 1:5-6, these scriptures speak of a person who is attempting to live right, but there is a certain area of his or her life, which does not align with the Word of God. You have to ask God to reveal to you both sins, known and unknown, that may hinder your prayers from being answered. Although you may live a Christian life, if you choose to obey God in some areas of your life without obeying Him in other areas, your life will flourish only partially. Moving to His agenda As you continue to grow in God, your desires will soon align with His will and purpose for your life. You will have a stronger desire to please Him. This process requires diligently seeking Him each and every day, keeping His commandments and getting to know His Word. It is only because of our lack of communication with God we fail to understand where He wants us to be. Commit today to take time to listen to what He has in store for you. Remember, it is never too late to start again. Acknowledge your sins Read Hosea 5:15. This scripture states God will go away until His people acknowledge Him and seek Him. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV). Once you acknowledge all your sins and turn away from them, it is then and only then, God will begin to hear your prayers. Reflection: Ask God to reveal anything to you that does not align with His Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to be obedient in all areas of your life. Stand on faith knowing you will begin to live God’s way.
