Considering this weeks discussion and comments on my own ADHD...Im using a gardening analogy of my opinion as my #FridayFactoids on ADD, ADHD and weeds. A cut and pasted conversation between my FB friend(Denielle Contreras in El Paso) Hi Ahmed, I Read about your ADD... I know I have it but I feel so scatter brained its not even funny :/ My reply to Denielle: I can totally relate. So heres my advice to you; Dont consume caffeine (you dont need it😜) Give thanks for being so amazingly complex aka scatter brained Decide each day, whats the most important things I need to accomplish today. See these important things as the valuable and desirable plants in your garden. You can also decide as to whether or not things are truly important and valuable or if you prefer to grow the weeds. Begin noticing how all of the other things/weeds pop up. These other things/weeds in your garden rob the more desirable plants (your priorities) of much needed nutrion, water and light. Thats why we consider weeds bad Weeds are natural, not bad Left unmanaged however, weeds would consume and ruin your entire garden. Notice the weeds and put them in their place. Work on focusing on whats important and be inspired by the knowing that responsibility for your garden will allow you to have a bountiful harvest Weeds are a part of life but you can keep them in check if you stay conscious of them and what your goals are.😉
