Console Update 3-7-14: For a while I have been looking to do a +4 balance mod so the levels on the direct outs of the console will be at the line in level of most of my outboard gear..To do that I could either search hi and low for the Balancing option that is out there for this vintage console or build one myself..Well I have successfully mocked up and tested a balancing and amplifying circuit. It gave me 12 db of gain on the output and to my ear the recorded signal had the same sonic footprint to the original..more testing and tweaking for sure but......The plan is to put it into a real small foot print and integrate into the boards direct outs on each of the 32 channels, Aux, and effect outs..whew..thats gonna be a lot of work..but fun and worth it..Stay tuned.
