Constantly hearing about tragic deaths in far off lands breaks the heart but the distance allows for separation, the lack of personally knowing these souls makes their deaths seem more like a cause than a personal loss. When that loss hits closer to home, the heart simply shatters. For every mother who has ever had to bury her child, may the pain of loss be replaced with strengthened faith and may you enter Jennah hand in hand with the soul that was called back to its Creator. May Allah swt rain mercy and patience upon the family of Mostafa Khalifa whose passing last night left a huge hole in the hearts of many. May his numerous kind acts and selfless deeds in this duniya bear witness to the beauty of his character and may his memory shine bright as a beacon in the hearts of his bereaved family and friends and may his Akhirah be one that is lit with the light of God. Truly from Allah we come and to Him we return. Remember his family in your dua during these last blessed nights of Ramadan. I pray that our ends will be the best of our days and that we can all leave behind even a fraction of the legacy of kindness that our brother has left behind. Ya Latif!
