Constitution Assembly Hall, Jan 25, 2015, Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang formed a 73-member Proposal Committee to deal with disputed contentious issues himself at the CA meeting. Nembang presented 49 names for the Committee. Opposition parties including the UCPN-Maoist and Madhesi parties have not submitted their names for the Committee. The meeting of the CA held this afternoon had endorsed Nembangs proposal to form the committee through voice voting. Earlier, the CA Secretariat had published agenda for the meeting today that cites that Nembang presented the proposal. In today’s CA meeting, Chairman Subas Nembang tabled the proposal on formation of questionnaire committee. CA Chairman tabled the proposal to that as per the rule 91 of the CA regulations after the UCPN (Maoist)-led 19-party front repeatedly obstructed lawmaker Chinkaji Shrestha from reaching rostrum with the proposal. The meeting has been called off by CA Chairman announcing he will call another meeting very soon and he will let them know.
