Constitution not Priority, says Kambwili Patriotic Front National Youth Chairman Chishimba Kambwili says enacting a new Republican Constitution is not a priority for the PF government. Kambwili, who is also Sports Minister, says government will not be compelled to spend huge sums of money to hold a referendum at the expense of development. He said as much as the PF Government wants to deliver a new constitution, the cost of concluding the constitution making process is gigantic. Kambwili said the high poverty levels especially in rural areas entails that Government focuses on delivering social and economic development to such areas. He said the constitution making process is not as important as taking water, education and health services to the poor people. Kambwili, who was among the PF officials who promised to deliver the constitution with 90 days of assuming office, has lashed out at some intellectuals in Zambia saying most of them have nothing to offer to the nation. He said so called educated men and women in Zambia are the ones that have let down the country.
