Construction Update: City of Wauwatosa Milwaukee Avenue Utility and Street Reconstruction The contractor will be starting the water main work between Wauwatosa Avenue and Church Street on Thursday October 16th and Friday Oct 17th with saw cutting of the street. Digging will begin on Monday October 20th with the temporary asphalt patch scheduled for the week of November 10th, weather permitting. During this time, whenever possible the westbound lane of Milwaukee Avenue will remain open as a one way to a right turn onto Underwood (still one-way northbound) for drop-off and pick-up at Lincoln. Water main work near Lincoln Schedule Thursday 10/16 and Friday 10/17 - Begin saw cutting on Milwaukee Ave between Church and Wauwatosa Avenue and site staging (material delivery etc.). Two way traffic will likely be available except when crews are in the street. Monday 10/20 – Begin concrete breakup and digging Friday 10/24 – Full shut down of Milwaukee Ave between Wauwatosa and Underwood for water main install. (no classes K-12 for inservice day) Week of 11/10 – Asphalt patch of street to re-open for winter
