Construction on Resorts World Las Vegas is set to start this summer. The $4 billion first phase will open with 3,000 hotel rooms, a 4,000-seat theater, 30 restaurants and bars and an elaborate garden attraction. There will be the live-panda exhibit and replica of the Great Wall of China. Plans also include a rooftop sky park and observation deck atop a 674-foot tower and a 50,000-square-foot, 58-foot-tall aquarium that will display exotic fish. Up to 85 percent of the existing Echelon Place buildings will be incorporated into the design. The first phase will take 24 to 36 months to complete, putting the completion date for the entire mega resort, which could include up to three phases, beyond 2017.
