Contemplating todays Gospel Liturgical Day: Tuesday of Lent Gospel text ( Mt 6,7-15 ) : At that time Jesus said to his disciples: In praying , do not babble like pagans , for they think that by their many words they will be heard . Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him . You, therefore, pray : Our Father who art in heaven , hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven . Give us today our daily bread , and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors , and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive men their trespasses, also forgive you your heavenly Father , but if you do not forgive men , neither will your Father forgive your trespasses . Word of the Lord . Glory to You , Lord Jesus. comment: When praying, do not babble ( ... ) for your Father knows what you need Today , Jesus is the Son of God taught me to behave like a child of God . A first aspect is the confidence when I talk to him But the Lord warns us , Do not babble ( Mt 6,7).
