Continuing from the same January 1910 article found in The P.E.O. Record by Alice, “Franc (Roads), always frank by name and in character, with a face full of smiles, eyes sparkling with good cheer, and greeting so cordial that you could not but be happier for meeting her, you know now as Mrs. Elliott, more serious or sedate with added years, but still always with the spirit of exuberance and gladness, delighting her friends when and wherever she meets them.”
