Contract Management Leader – BH / MG Experienced Project Management • To provide commercial support to the Site Manager and UK/Brasil Project Managers in all commercial aspects of the contract. • Establish and manage an effective Claims Control System. • Pro-actively support the Site Manager with contractual issues during the performance of the Contract. • Establishing, implementing and maintaining an effective Change Control procedure and ensuring the Customers requirements are met, including preparing and issuing Change Requests. • Attendance at all meetings with the Customer for awareness of potential delays in the programme. • Maintain all correspondence to/from the Customer for awareness of potential opportunities. • Commercial liaison with the UK/Brasilian Project Managers for progress & financial reporting • Establishing and managing an effective Claims Control System, to prepare and submit any claims for time or costs to the Customer or Suppliers/ Subcontractors. • Assisting the Site Manager with any supplier claims, carrying out negotiations with Sub-Contractors (on both contractual and financial aspects) and managing the interface between the Project and the Sub Contractors. • Preparing the financial information for Project Reviews and Formal Contract Financial Reviews on a monthly/quarterly basis (both internally and for submission to the Customer). • Establishing, controlling and monitoring Key Commercial dates. • Oversee the discipline of timely timesheet approval with the Customer and keep track of time spent/allowed in the Contract. • HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES • Comply with all company, customer, and statutory health and safety regulations. Qualifications/Training • Quantity SURVEYING Training • Commercial and contractual training. • PC literate and familiar with all Microsoft Office tools Experience • At least five years experience in managing commercial work. • Detailed knowledge of contract conditions. • Knowledge of commercial/contractual issues. • Must have established record of site work. Personal Qualities • Ability to negotiate contract claims with Customers and Suppliers and assess and manage risk associated with the Companys contracts. • Pays particular attention to detail and an ability to draft clear and concise documentation. • Analytical and thorough • Good team player • Effective communicator • Enthusiastic • Flexible and adaptable • Works well under pressure Circumstances • Site Based • Willing to travel within Brasil/Overseas • Degree level in Quantity SURVEYING , or Electrical Engineering • Previous experience of working in the Marine/Power Sectors Knowledge of current and legacy marine power systems, or • Experience of power generation and distribution and or Variable Speed Drives • Previous knowledge and experience of marine drive products and systems.
