Contracts Administrator - Environmental Project Purpose / Role To provide contracts and commercial support within the framework of a consultancy project management team (PMC) managing the execution of an assigned projects (3 Contractors) which include major earthworks and soil reclamation. Key aims and objectives Contractual and Commercial support in the process of ensuring the Project is executed in full accordance with the prevailing contractual obligations and that the commercial interests of the owner are protected at all times. Timely execution of all contract administration activities to ensure that assigned projects are successfully completed in line with the schedule. To provide guidance in the application of owner policies and procedures throughout the project life cycle. Prime responsibilities and duties Co ordinate Contractor payment approval process. Supervise Contractor re-measurement (supervising QS’s ) Administer all formal communications from a contractual perspective (internal and external) Provide contractual advice and support to the Project Team as required Support in the review and management of contractor variations and claims Contractor third party approvals as required (procurement, subcontracts) Execute contract close out activities including final account documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures Core competencies Major capital projects experience Ability to work and communicate effectively within an integrated multi discipline team. PMC experience would be beneficial. Ability to manage and administer contracts Self motivated and able to clearly communicate with project team, Client and contractor at all levels. Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment Qualifications for Guidelines Appropriate qualifications & experience as specified by the client ie., BSc Degree/Higher Diploma with 10 years total experience, 5 years Quantity Surveying experience : Civils or General Construction , 5 years of which shall have been in the related designation/speciality.
