Contrary to popular belief about scientists, I am not an agnostic/atheist like my students most likely suspected, but rather a Theistic Evolutionist (see Google ) who believes the Universe and all living things were designed by God and allowed to evolve in his Grand Experiment and he is still monitoring and occasionally tweaking his projects all over the Universe. It would be very vain of us to think we are the only intelligent species in the entire Universe! Astronomers estimate that there are several billion inhabitable planets exactly like Earth where he conducts his Grand Experiment! It is his entertainment over the eons of time, otherwise he would be very bored. By the way, there are now many so called missing links like the famous Lucy pre man fossil! Once you realize that all things including Homo Sapiens (modern man), require a maker, like the watch or jumbo jet analogy, you cannot consciously be an atheist! The watch analogy states that it is impossible for a watch to build itself spontaneously in 7 days from the many unassembled parts which are also complex parts and must be designed first, especially in the case for a jumbo jetliner, almost a million parts!
