Control, some say is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Some might say it - TopicsExpress

Control, some say is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Some might say it could be the ultimate motivator propelling ones own life to venture into territories he never previously thought possible. Then again, control could also be the ultimate albatross and deterrant. Kinda like a glass half full or half empty philisophy. We live in a country where we have control over the outcomes of our own lives. We only get bogged down by the prisons we create in our own minds. Our own Heaven and Hell. We can choose to listen to these detterants or we can tune them out. The choice remains ours and ours alone. Psychology. Psychology. Psychology. All the rest simply is nonsense. I am constantly amazed at the sheer vast number of resources available in this great country of ours. Everywhere you look there is some kind of assistance: financial, clothing, communal, and educational simply in the form of access to the greatest portal of education ever created - the internet. We have all of these at our disposal; so we are ultimately at fault if our lives trajectory isnt what we hoped for. All of this, however, wasnt inherently free. Hundreds of thosands paid the ultimate sacrifice in order for the rest of us to either endlessly whine and complain or actually propel our own lives to realize our own nirvana. Our veterans made this possible. Today, we salute them. It is also, however, with the cruelest irony and Americas biggest shame that many of our Veterans live out the rest of their lives in abhorrent poverty, forever backlogged and waiting on word when they will receive any iota of the benefits promised to them. Shunned socially by the rest of our overprivelaged and absurdely entitled society. This isnt a democratic thing. This isnt a republican thing. This is a capatilistic status quo thing and I will always fight and make my voice heard in order that we start to give them the respect they deserve. Truth be told, a soildier is taught to never question his superiors. A soilder is taught to never leave his brothers behind in battle. A soildier omly has his faith in his Higher Power to be his rock and Moral Compass. This soilder also has his Deck of Cards....
