“Controlling your Thought Life” 2Corinthians 10:5 2Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Let us pray… “Controlling your Thought Life” or “Better said allowing the Resurrected Savior LORD Jesus Christ control your Thought Life” 2Corinthians 10:5 Control your thought life by: Casting down (This is spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally throwing down…) imaginations (thoughts), and every high thing (that which is elevated in our pride or independent spirit of God) that exalteth itself (This is to exalt sinful and self-righteous self.) against the knowledge of God, (This is more than mere intellectual knowledge, but heart knowledge that spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally embraces and experiences God, by faith.) … This is a matter of choice; we can choose to yield or forsake such by “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God…,” by forsaking any thought that is not of the resurrected Savior LORD Jesus Christ… This is a matter of considering what thoughts are or are not of “the knowledge of God” through spiritual discernment, by focus and faith: But he that is spiritual judgeth all things… 1 Corinthians 2:15 By the meditation, focus, upon the Scriptures, by faith: Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. By the means of guidance of the Spirit yielded, in focus by faith: John 16:13-14 (13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. This is a matter of confessing and forsaking imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God that is yielded, by faith: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13 Control your thought life by: … and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (This is to by focus and faith, be in subjection to the resurrected Savior LORD Jesus Christ.) Through prayerfully commitment of your body to the God, by focus and faith: Romans 12:1-2 (1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Through perceiving the resurrected LORD Jesus Christ through the Scriptures in the Spirit, by focus and faith: 2Corinthians 3:17-18 (17) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (18) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Through personal identification, with the death and resurrection of the crucified and resurrected Savior LORD Jesus Christ, by focus and faith: Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 2Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Summing up, with three words, what has just been said in this matter of “Controlling your Thought Life,” such would be forsaking, focus and faith… We must be given to forsaking “imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God…” We must by focus and faith be “…bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Therefore… Are you consistently choosing to forsake by “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God…? ” Are you consistently through focus by faith “…bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ?” Are you consistently through focus by faith on the resurrected Savior LORD Jesus “Christ?” The One, Who died for your sins and arose from the grave to give you eternal life, the forgiveness of sins and newness of life. 2Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Let us pray… This has been an H.O.P.E.
