The playcalls on women to act on behalf of a society on the brink of destroying itself; a society embattled by patriarchal narcissism and which is bent on testing its ego through wars. … AAUA VC Commends AVT for Stunning Performance The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Prof. Femi Mimiko, has given kudos to the Institution’s theatre group, Ajasin Varsity Theatre, AVT, for putting up superb performance, as usual, during the stage presentation ofAikin Mata,as part of the programmes for the AAUA 4 th Convocation Ceremony on Wednesday last week. Prof. Mimiko, who led the Management team and the University community, includinggraduands and students, to the 1500 capacity-filled Multi-Purpose Hall to watch the Play, gave the commendation during a chat with the Information Unitof the University at the end of over two hours presentation. The VC, who was obviously impressed by the performance, said, “It (AVT’s performance) was simply fantastic and very professional! I am indeed very proud of our students and staff. It is a sign of better things to come. I congratulate the AVT and its Acting Director, Dr. (Mrs.)Omotayo Oloruntoba-Oju, for doing us proud.” Dr. (Mrs.) Oloruntoba-Oju, in her remark, appreciated the AAUA Management “under the distinguished and visionary leadership of our art-loving, indefatigable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Femi Mimiko, for the confidence reposed in us, and the constant support lavished on us.”
