Cool Song I Heard a Today - The first time I heard this tune it was on a 45 in the collection at the first bar I worked at, Ricky Lees in Orlando. It was a vocal pop cover by The Buckinghams, a band best known for their one big hit, Kind Of A Drag. I really liked their version of this song a lot and played it often. Flash forward about ten years and I came across a Cannonball Adderley in my collection. To this day I still have no idea how, when or where I picked it up but I threw it on the turntable and instantly was blown away by the original and completely different version of this song. To me this is THE sound of the Hip 60s. Enjoy.
