Cops all over. Helicopters etc. I ask cop whats up. Escapee from the assisted living place. missing for about 2.5 hours. 80 years old. So, I told the cop dont worry I am going to find her for you. ( why was i so sure? What made me say that?) I drove for about 20 min. ,but something kept telling me SHE is in your backyard. Go! I get home get side tracked talking to my mom. Finally, I walk outback and there she is in my neighbors yard. Frail, disoriented, in a long sleeve shirt sweating away. I am tearing up thinking about how vulnerable she was in her forgetful state. She was so gentle and yet in a different world. I LOVE the elderly and today I was blessed to meet miss Margie even if she wont remember me later today. Reach out folks! Go out of your way! Help others in your community. You will be blessed. Xo
