Hi All Im pretty sure there isnt a simple solution to this, so really Im looking for options and a fair solution for all involved. My friends mum died about 18 months ago and in her will she left the house to her. Problem is, that about 2 years before the mum passed away, an ex-flame came back to stay with her and she put his name on the deeds. To say my friend dislikes this man is an understatement. That said, she just wants to know where she stands and how she can realise her half of the houses value. The man, understandably, doesnt want to leave or sell the house, so what can be done? Does she need to wait until he also passes away (I advised her that a hitman was NOT a good idea - even as a last resort) or is there a way to get her fair share of the house? The house is a 3 bed, 2 reception terraced house in Kingsbury. On Mouseprice it is currently valued at £430,000. There is no mortgage on it. What options does she have? Thanks Paul
