Copy of letter to Brokers from MNsure yesterday regarding training: September 19, 2013 MNsure has been busy preparing for the October launch of Minnesota’s new health insurance marketplace. We are working diligently to create and deploy the policies and processes necessary to train and certify brokers and agents to sell in this marketplace. We continue to receive your Notice of Intents and we are excited to partner with you. Your response has been tremendous and we’re replying to your numerous inquiries as quickly as possible. Once we receive your Notice of Intent email, we reply with a MNsure Broker Roster and a Broker Certification form for your completion. These forms provide information we need to complete MNsure certification. What we have accomplished to date: • We have received rosters from 2300+ Brokers and Agency Administrators • We have created and sent 2100+ Brokers training accounts • We have certified CEs for 400+ Brokers We are fully aware that agents and brokers are busy right now with carrier forums and other certification requirements, so we appreciate your diligence in completing MNsure certification. Many of you have completed Course One and the Post-Course Exam; however there are a large number of you who have not completed both. Please confirm that you have completed the two modules. To verify this, click on “your learning path summary” in Pathlore, then click on “MNsure Agents and Brokers” and your Enrollment Status should indicate “Mastered” for: 1. MNSBRK01-MNSURE AGENT/BROKER CERTIFICATION: COURSE ONE 2. MNSBRKR01Q-MNSURE AGENT/BROKER CERTIFICATION: COURSE ONE CLOSED BOOK EXAM The MNsure Broker Certification Course Two will be available on Monday, September 23 and will also take approximately an hour to complete. At this time we anticipate that the MNsure certification process will be complete for many brokers and agents prior to October 1 however, it may not be finalized for all of you by that date. Full certification depends on additional steps beyond training, including a user account creation process that is dependent on federal identity proofing of individuals accessing the MNsure system. This process—known as ‘remote identity proofing’ (or RIDP)—cannot begin until MNsure receives the system coding from the federal government. Once this code is received, MNsure will require some additional time to test the code in our system. MNsure is as anxious as you are to serve your clients through Minnesota’s new health insurance marketplace. We’ll continue to provide you frequent updates on certification and work as quickly as we can to complete your certification in the marketplace. We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you.
