Cornelius saw an Angle : Many suppose that when God dose miraculous things with a person , that is evidence the person is saved . untrue , The prophet Balaam was able to prophesy as God directed and talked with an angle , but was still a wicked man whom God destroyed ( Num . 22 : 23 ) . We live in an age when many are seeking a special sing , the gift that would enable them to speak in tongues; and they think that means that they are now right with God. But Cornelius and his household received the miraculous gifts of the Spirit , enabling them to speak in tongues , but they were still lost, for the angel of God said so ( Acts 11 : 14 - 15 ) . Cornelius was remarkable in many ways . And what God did for him was also remarkable , for God sure didnt send angels to everyone ! But He sent an angel to Cornelius . However , the angel didnt save Cornelius . In fact , the angel didnt even tell Cornelius what he had to do to be saved . He simply told him , Send for Simon , who is surnamed Peter ; and he will speak unto thee words whereby thou shall be saved . Do you think that the angel did not know what to tell Cornelius, what to do to be saved ? I would like to think that the angel knew what he had to do to be saved . So why did the angel not tell him ? I will answer those questions later .
