Corporal Nathan Cirillo died yesterday morning while guarding the - TopicsExpress

Corporal Nathan Cirillo died yesterday morning while guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier in Ottawa. He was 24 years old, a member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. A volunteer. He carried a ceremonial rifle, unloaded. And he was shot dead by a gunman who then went on to the Parliament Buildings where a gun battle took place in the home of our government. This might have been an act of terrorism, but it was without doubt an act of cowardice. Nathan Cirillo leaves behind a mother, two sisters, and a young son. And a nation shocked and horrified and grief-stricken by his death. And grateful to young men and women who volunteer to stand guard. Its our turn now, to stand up.
