Corporate agriculture has taken over 95.4% of the entire U.S. market for agricultural products. The federal budget provides $16 billion annually in farm subsidies. 75 percent of those subsidies go to only 10 percent of the largest industrial farms. Which then trickles to the top 1% of America. Which then trickles back to the law makers via lobbyist to keep the laws in the favor of corporate agriculture. With community supported agriculture we can return to having healthier foods from local farming without needlessly depleting the land, our water supply, or our food quality with over distribution.
