Corporate profitability should never be confused with corporate greed. They are 2 entirely different things. Im not so sure that people who do menial jobs such as those in Walmart or garbage collectors, etc. arent lazy or stupid. They didnt have the same opportunities, or a solid family support system or a church to guide them. Something failed. But they work very hard doing jobs you and I wouldnt want to do. Obviously they shouldnt be paid the same as managers, as people who invested in their education, have more responsibility & make decisions. But I dont think they should be below poverty level if they work hard and especially if the company is SO profitable! If Walmart were going bankrupt it would be a different story. I firmly believe that corporations have a moral obligation to care of their employees - give them a decent salary in exchange for honest, hard work. It isnt about socialism. Its about social responsibility. These are also 2 entirely different things!!!
