Corps awards $438,000 contract for repairs to gate guide, fender timbers of the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier Repairs to the gate guide and fender timbers at the New Bedford-Fairhaven Hurricane Barrier in New Bedford and Fairhaven, Mass., will be completed under the terms of a $438,000.00 contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District. Work will be accomplished by Kovilic Construction Company, Inc., of Franklin Park, Ill. Construction is scheduled to be completed in October 2014. The contract was awarded on April 18, 2014.
