Corruption is defined by the Oxford advanced learners dictionary - TopicsExpress

Corruption is defined by the Oxford advanced learners dictionary as the act of impairing integrity, virtue or moral principle; wickedness. From the above definition, how can somebody describe Buhari as incorruptible? A man who has been characterised as unfair to other ethnicities based on his various actions and inactions as the petroleum minister under Obasanjos military regime; as head of state from 1983-1985 and as PTF chairman under Abachas military junta. I remind myself that there is no single refinery in the south east Nigeria despite the region having 2 oil producing States. I also remind myself that as head of state, Buhari imprisoned innocent people from other ethnicities like Alex Ekwueme, Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, Michael Okpara, Pa Ajasin, Fela Anikulakpo Kuti and his brother, and a whole lot of others, on trumped up corruption charges while at the same time leaving out his Hausa-Fulani and Muslim brothers who were visibly and incontrovertibly corrupt. I also remind myself that a man who routinely instigates and Orchestrates the massacre of innocent Nigerians simply because he lost elections, is a wicked man. The man Buhari is unfair, unjust and wicked. What more elements of corruption do you want to see in him before you conclude? In the area of financial corruption, one cannot say conclusively that he is not corrupt. I mean nobody has ever investigated nor probed him and found him innocent. It is on record that he told us time without number that ABACHA was not corrupt. Well, we all know the truth today. Abachas loot is still being recovered till date. So until he is probed and found innocent, the jury is still out on that one. On the other side of the coin, GEJ is not the messiah we seek despite all his transformational projects but what is the alternative? Ill still go with Jonathan because of his Democratic virtues. You cannot really value your freedom until you lose it. I am free to say whatever I want to say and still remain free after saying such. I remind myself that under Buharis junta, there was no freedom of speech and certainly no freedom after speech. He outlawed press freedom and used retroactive decrees to murder political enemies. Any body who dared to challenge him or criticised him, ended up in the gallows or dead. There has never been any case of political witch-hunting under GEJ, the crazy oppositions insult and assault GEJs personality and go Scott free as it should be in any true democracy. No single case of political assassination since the inception of this present administration. The list goes on but I will stop here for want of time.
