Cory Hicks - New Department of Labor laws are being proposed to hire more individuals with disabilities to work on "Traffic Control" crews. New requirement being introduced is to create a diverse workforce and one of the requirements will be for every one person hired to stand and hold a "Traffic Control" sign there will be one hired in a wheelchair. It was found that anyone could do this type of work from a sitting position and future Federal and State Funds will require hiring more individuals with disabilities who use wheelchairs was the appropriate avenue for creating jobs for this already diverse population. This regulation was introduced by John McCain (R) and Lindsay Graham (R) realizing the importance of employing the disabled from their own personal experiences. John Boehner (R) claimed the House will pass this immediately and it will be a great tool to removing barriers to hiring the disabled across the nation and hopes to see Obama to sign this as soon as possible after it is passed. Believing that any one that comes from the line of creation can do this job, and instead of hiring more monkeys, it would be more humane to hire individuals with disabilities for you can pay them less, not worry about banana peels or peanut shells and at the same time not provide breaks to allow abled Traffic Controllers to sit because those hired would already be sitting.
