Could Finland or Sweden act as peace doves - call peace bells by waiving sanctions? A peace-striving wise move for Finland or Sweden - or any other non-NATO country - would now be to unilaterally waive the sanctions, because they are harmful to the peace and prosperity of the world and Europe, as well as inefficient toward Russia. They only serve to increase tensions unnecessarily. It would be a glorious retreat in all directions, which would also encourage others to detente. Now would be the time to break with the EU Commission failed attempts to exercise power politics. Otherwise, it may wallow to a 1914 situation - if not Finland or Sweden or any other country - serves as ringers. The small countries interests have been in the hands of the EU and NATO, thereby jeopardizing their safety and independence. Ukraine crisis is of course primarily a great-power arm wrestling between US-NATO and Russia, with the EU Commission as gullible decoy because of its great expansion lust.
