Couldnt post the latest news last night. By the time I got home I was on my knees and needed to eat before going to bed having spent the previous night away from home at Johns bedside. John Meteyard suffered an unnecessary set-back on Wednesday when he had a seizure. Whilst the doctor was considering how to treat it, I asked the question I should not have had to ask, which was You have been giving him his anti-seizure medication havent you? which elicited blank and then panic stricken responses all round. The blame lies squarely with both Treliske who didnt pass the information on and the specialist Neurosurgical Team who know better than not to medicate someone with brain tumours AND a low sodium level in this way. Heartbreaking to see John suffer unnecessarily. It brought him to tears yesterday he was so poorly. Im really hoping that hes starting to rally and feel much better today, especially now that the sodium levels are climbing to a place where surgery is real option.
