Council launches official LinkedIn page Whitsunday Regional Council today launched its own official LinkedIn page and is encouraging the local community to follow the page, which can be found at https://linkedin/company/whitsunday-regional-council?trk=company_logo The launch of the official Whitsunday Regional Council LinkedIn page is part of our commitment to expand our social media presence. LinkedIn is the worlds largest professional social network with 300 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the globe, an official Whitsunday Regional Council LinkedIn presence will help raise the profile of Council locally and internationally. In a similar way to how Council currently uses its Facebook accounts, the latest information about Council business and developments will also be posted to our LinkedIn page, further broadening Council’s social media reach. Council also plans to use LinkedIn as an additional recruitment tool and will post vacant jobs at Council on the page along with continuing to advertise vacancies through the existing channels.
