Countdown of the Top 200 FAUX One-Hit Wonders (1980-1995). All of these artists have had 2 or more Billboard Top 40 hits but are most commonly labeled a One-Hit Wonder. Taking a look at their SECOND Top 40 hit, a mathematical formula using peak position, weeks at peak, weeks in Top 40 and bonus points for 3 or more Top 40 hits was used. #126. Londonbeat…peaking at #1 with their first single, “I’ve Been Thinking About You”, catapulted this British-based R&B Pop band onto the American shores of which two of its members were natives. “A Better Love” followed and climbed as high as #18 on Billboard’s Hot 100 (#9 R&R) in June of 1991. Londonbeat would never reach Billboard’s Top 40 again as “Come Back” peaked at #52; however, pushed by radio airplay, “Come Back” reached a high of #13 on R&R’s CHR/Pop chart and registered in its year-end countdown.
