Shell also discuss the status of the global climate movement one month after NYCs Peoples Climate March and what the world can expect at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties, (UNFCC COP 21) in Paris, France in December 2015. 2) Beu Grosscup, Professor of Political Science at California State University, Chico and author of the book, The Newest Explosions of Terrorism, discusses the recent attacks on Canadian soldiers, and the concern that these terrorist incidents will be used as a justification to further militarize government security policies and tactics. 3) Report from the Techno-Utopianism & The Fate of the Earth conference that just concluded October 26th in New York City. This segment will feature a speech by Bill McKibben, environmentalist, author and founder, 350.org, and an interview with Victor Menotti executive director of the International Forum on Globalization, primary sponsor of the conference. 4) Ed Heflin, 36th District Connecticut Senate Candidate of the CT Green Party, discusses his platform on issues including his advocacy of establishing public banking in the state. Heflin is the only candidate opposing 3-term incumbent GOP Senator L. Scott Frantz in the district (Greenwich, New Canaan, and Stamford) as the Democrats declined to nominate an opponent. Ed Heflin is a Wall Street Consultant and co-coordinator of the CT chapter of the Public Banking Institute.
