Counties Cup Quarter-Final:Clonaslee Utd 0 Willow Park 2:Another derby game with St. Peters is now in store as Willow overcame the strong challenge of Clonaslee Utd. It was a very tame 1st half as both teams struggled to contend with the very blustery weather conditions and the only action of note was when Seanie Brennan fired over from close range from Glen Byrnes cross. But if the 1st half was tame the 2nd half really fired up! Immediately after the restart Willow broke the deadlock when Roanie Frawley headed powerfully home at the back post from a beautiful corner-kick routine. Robbie Shine then forced a brilliant save from the keeper with a driven free-kick before Robbie sent in another of his corners for Glen Byrne to head home this time. Despite loads of Willow possession, Bolgy had to be on his toes to deal with Clonaslees threat and Willow ran out comfortable winners. So in the end Willow did what they had to do and march into the semis!
