It is thoroughly used as a major conversation medium in almost 34 Districts of 4 States by 40 million people. This place witnessed the birth and very initial Cultural Development of Bhojpuri language. Besides, this place produced many IAS, IPS, IFS and other Civil Service Officers. It is the biggest Import-Export Market cum Educational Hub in the district which provides the overall Agricultural and Educational facilities to almost 0.5 million people from around 185 Villages. Raj High School and DK College are two of the Prides of Dumraon, both were established in mid-19th century and since then, they kept on continuing the legacy. Dumraon Textile Mill is one of the earlier Textile Mills in Bihar. This pious, fertile and kind land feeds her children with love. The people born and brought up in Dumraon have a strong will power and Perfect Vision. अब आगे जो मैं कहूँगा वो शायद Subjective Opinion हो - डुमराँव के लोग बहुत भोले-भाले और सीधे होते हैं, वो प्यार के भूखे होते हैं, उनसे प्यार से बात कर लीजिये तो वो पहले आपका काम करेंगे फिर बाद में अपना काम करेंगे,चाहे वो कितना ही ज़रूरी क्यों न हो। अपने चाहने वालों का फायदा करने में वो अपना नुकसान भी नज़रंदाज़ कर देते हैं। कहने का मतलब है कि वो Cunning या धूर्त नहीं होते, लोग अक्सर उनका इस्तेमाल अपने फायदे के लिए करते हैं। लेकिन, इसके बावज़ूद वो किसी भी काम को इतनी निपुणता और समर्पण से करते हैं कि उस काम का प्रतिफल दूसरों के फायदे के साथ इनके लिए भी काफ़ी कुछ छोड़ जाता है। लेकिन अगर इतनी खूबियाँ हैं तो कुछ ख़ामियाँ भी होंगी - मैंने अभी तक जो आंकलन किया है उससे ये समझ आया है कि डुमराँव के लोग आगे बढ़ने और उन्नति करने के इच्छुक तो हैं और इसके लिए वो समर्पित भी रहते हैं पर अपनी धरती, अपनी पहचान के लिए कुछ करने पर उनका बिलकुल भी ध्यान नहीं रहता। ऐसा नहीं कि वो चाहते नहीं, वो अपने अन्दर वो भाव जो उनको अपनी मिट्टी से जोड़ने की ओर प्रेरित करता है, उसको कहीं अन्दर ही दबा के रखते हैं। बस एक ये कमी दूर हो जाये तो मुझे कोई शक नहीं कि डुमराँव एक अपनी पहचान के साथ विकास का भागिदार बनेगा।
