Couple From Guam Marries April 24, 2014 by jan@simplidone Yesterday was the wedding day for a couple that flew all the way from the tropical island of Guam to get married in beautiful Washington State. This was a special delight for me to be their wedding Officiant since I was married on Guam and their arrival was like a little bit of homecoming for me! Valerie and Rebecca are a delightful and devoted couple. They were married in my home with my mother and a neighbor serving as witnesses. We had a wonderful time sitting and talking with them after the ceremony. Valerie and Rebecca met each other six years ago and have been inseparable since. They are raising a family of five children, which, along with them both working, keeps them busy! For their ceremony, a love poem written by a poet from Guam was read. After a honeymoon in Seattle and San Diego, Valerie and Rebecca will return home to their tropical paradise.
