Couple of Breeders on Buses rants: 1. Yesterday on a crowded downtown Seattle bus, it was standing room only, but one stupid moo decided that her shopping bags and backpack had more rights than anyone else. She refused to move her bags even when people asked her for the seat. At one point, she started pulling things out of the shopping bag to admire. What was so precious in there that it needed an entire bus seat? About $50 worth of baby clothes. 2. Today on a similar bus, crowded and standing room only, a pregnant woman gets on and someone standing nearby says, Can someone give this lady a seat? Nobody moved for a whole minute until one other woman stood and offered the seat. Two blocks later, a staggering blind man gets on. Still, there are no seats. Nobody steps up to advocate for him (not even the driver; theyre too chickenshit to even try to control the riders on the buses anymore.) As we go on up the hill, he almost falls a few times but insists hes okay. Still no one offers him a seat. At Harborview Hospital, half the bus begins to unpile and the guy actually gets SHOVED a few times. Finally (!) a guy steps up and says, Why dont you offer him a seat, since yall shitheads are just pushing him around! The blind chap gets a seat at last. I dont blame the helper guy when he gets off the bus a few stops after that, stands in the middle of the road and shouts, I HATE HUMANITY! I said that I agreed.
