Couple of things about flexing, which we all know were going to be clobbered by from now on. Firstly, can someone confirm the time frame for getting the flexed time back ? Ive seen recently people talking about getting the time back in the same week. I was told by a manager today that its within 7 days. Secondly, I understand flexing cant be used to cover sickness. Hope the managers have received the correct training in that respect. Lastly, just an observation really. Surely theres something wrong when you have to tell Royal Mail what you do in your home and private life outside your hours so they can decide if its less important than Royal Mail disrupting it. Yes Ill be flexible, Im a good worker, adaptable, reasonable, willing to help, but its a massive infringement of my privacy that they can dip into and police my plans outside work by their own figures, stress and personality driven criteria and decide if its acceptable or not.
