Court Report (partial): VA Elite 16s (Denver) I wish I could describe the scene appropriately because when this team was playing the college coaches were often 2 deep on both ends of the court. I certainly could not catch all of them as there were just so many and I just have the feeling that our process will continue to work and the athlete’s communication is driving them to our court. Angela Tender did a great job dishing the ball as our setter. Both Gio Gio Borgiotti and Lauren Twitty did a nice job playing on the outside. Maxine Friedman I saw got to play DS in some critical matches and then was even setting on day 3 as Angela was hitting. This was the first time I got to watch Jasmine Ellison be our right side and man she put up a great strong and physical block and was a true threat our there on the right. Vela McBride, our other Middle Blocker, did a great job demonstrating how big and physical this team is. I think her armpits are at the top of the net when she blocks folks. It is pretty scary (in a good way) to see Vela, Lauren and Jasmine triple block, man I would not want to hit against that. Great job 16s!
